Last on, first off
Put jewellery on after perfume, hairspray and lotion. Take it off before bathing or the gym.
Keep it dry
Sweat and water cause most discolouration. Wipe with a soft dry cloth after each wear.
Store it airtight
One piece per zip pouch, ideally with a silica-gel sachet, so pieces don't scratch each other.
