Start with the outfit

Most of us don't shop for jewellery in the abstract. We have a saree for a cousin's sangeet, a new kurti for Monday, a chaniya choli for garba night, and the question is always the same: what goes with this?

Jhilmira was started to answer that question. Instead of an endless grid of earrings, we organise our collection around what you're wearing: the neckline, the fabric, the colour and the occasion. Pick the outfit and we show you pieces that work with it, and explain why.

What we do, and what we don't

We want to be clear about how Jhilmira works, because you deserve to know who you're buying from.

We curate. We go through hundreds of designs from an established imitation-jewellery wholesaler in Jaipur, Rajasthan, and pick the ones we'd wear ourselves. We drop the ones that look cheap in person or photograph better than they wear.

We style. Every piece is tagged by the outfits, necklines and occasions it suits, so you can shop by look rather than by guesswork.

We describe honestly. Every product page tells you what the piece is made of. That means brass, German silver or other alloys, plated or oxidised, with glass, synthetic or cubic-zirconia stones. We don't call anything "silver" or "925" that isn't, and we don't call anything "handmade" or "hypoallergenic" without proof. Our jewellery is affordable fashion jewellery, and it's good at being exactly that.

We don't manufacture. We don't own a workshop or employ artisans, and we won't pretend to. Our Jaipur partner makes or sources the pieces, packs your order and ships it straight to you. We take your order, issue your invoice and handle every question, claim and refund ourselves.

• No fake urgency. No invented "only 2 left" counters or timers that reset.
• Real reviews only, from verified buyers, including the critical ones.
• If it arrives damaged, defective or wrong, we replace or refund it. We're upfront that we don't take change-of-mind returns, and we've explained why.
• Your data stays private. Payments go through Cashfree Payments; we never see your card details.
